Carol and I want to thank you for your generous support of our ministry. We could not serve here at YWAM Salem without you, our support team!

During December through May Carol and I are busy here maintaining our YWAM Salem facility. I have been fixing leaky water lines, patching sheet rock, painting, and am currently helping lay a laminate floor in our Internet cafe. Carol has been helping in hospitality, including recovering several recently acquired couches. She has done a beautiful job! They look like new!

Carol was a part of the recent “human trafficking seminar” held here in Salem. She was a “sweat shop” worker! Did you know that Human Trafficking is the third largest illegal trade? It is behind drugs and weapons, Slavery still exists, and is growing!

We also are currently in charge of the weekly shopping for the kitchen. Costco, Winco, and Cash and carry each Monday! Between staff and students of the current DTS we have about 100 for lunch five days a week! If you’re in the area, come and eat with us!

We seldom have visitors here, but on the weekend of Jan 9th we had three different car loads! Thank you Paula, Angie and Mike, and Shelley and your boys! We enjoyed seeing each of you!

In a recent prayer time, I, (Fred) felt the desire to return to Kurganisk, Russia to encourage the church and renew the relationships formed in 1993. Also, I need to finish the requirements for the Teacher Training course I took in 2007. This requires an outreach to teach in a DTS (discipleship training school) for a week. (Perhaps in Russia? )

Carol has the desire to return to Yangon, Myanmar to teach English for a 10 week term. Would you please pray for confirmation and the timing of these visits?

Our truck is getting tired and needs to be replaced. Jaime’s getting married in Alaska in June, so we are planning a trip there! We covet your prayers, insight and input.

Please pray for our upcoming Crossroads Discipleship Training School in June. We run this school each summer, and are looking forward to the students that God is calling to join Him in reaching this generation for Christ. We are always blessed to see who He calls, and to hear their stories! If God is calling you to receive further training in missions, to know Him better so that you can make Him known, please contact us here! There is room for more in this endeavor! Our school start June 8th, and runs through November 8th.
