I saw this sign while traveling in the Philippines this past September. “Wrong way proceed with caution.” At first I thought “Amazing” “What a hoot!” “In the States, it would read ‘wrong way GO BACK!’” After sitting on this for six months now, I realize that I have purposefully chosen “wrong ways” from time to time. And if I am cautious I “proceed with caution.” But, why proceed at all? Why not turn around instead? Run the other way?!? Even if I proceed with caution, I am still going the wrong way! The best way is not go down the “wrong way!” Stop, and pray for revelation, or pray for conviction! Find a sign that reads “this way” or “follow me, I am the way.”
Jesus is the way, and he allows U-Turns. When I am faithful to follow Christ, I can throw caution to the wind, and pursue Him with all of my enthusiasm!
So if you’ve been traveling in the wrong way, stop. Turn around and begin to follow the one is who is “the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:6
